Who actually is Jas Waters?
Jas Waters is best known as a Writer, Director, Author, former Journalist, and Television Personality, who was also a writer on KIDDING (Showtime) and was previously staffed on THIS IS US (NBC.) She, also known for her work a writing for TV show “Kidding”, officially passed away in her late 30s on 10 June, 2020, Reps for Waters at Rain Management Group confirmed her death to Fox News on Wednesday.
According to multiple reports, Waters died “within the last week” and that her cause of death is “not disclosed” at this time. She was 39 years old.

Waters was born in 1981, Evanston, Illinois, USA. She was also known by her nickname ‘JasFly’.
“I was raised in an old folks’ home. I never had a traditional life; I never had a safe, cookie-cutter, predictable, affirming life. From the moment I got here, the rules didn’t apply to me”, Waters spoke to Shadow and Act in 2018.
“If the basic rules of raising a kid didn’t apply to me, then nothing else really applies to me. So I just had to figure it out. There were several times in my life that I found to be very confining. But as I look back on it, it was very freeing”.

Waters started her career by spending 9 years working in Film Production and Television Development, on everything from Spiderman 1 & 2, Hardball, Save The Last Dance, MTV’s Real World, Barbershop 1 & 2 and the NBC’s ER.
In 2007, she created her own entertainment blog, which ran for 3 years averaging 700,000 views a day and in 2012, landing her own column in VIBE Magazine.
In 2013, she co-starred in the VH1 reality series GOSSIP GAME and the YouTube webseries JUMPOFF with over 1 million subscribers and 7 million views.

Jas Waters Death, Tribute
“She was an amazing person and a sweet soul who will be forever missed. Her voice is something that we greatly need at this time, and although she is no longer with us, her impact will be felt for countless years to come. Rest in peace”, a statement was shared on Rain Management’s Instagram profile.
An official Twitter account for the writers of “This Is Us” also confirmed the news on Wednesday.
