Who actually is Dustin Dennis?

Dustin Dennis is named as the Tulsa, Oklahoma man who has reportedly been arrested after he left his two young children, aged 4 and 3, being locked inside his truck for five hours in 90-degree heat while he took a nap indoors. The eventually died, police claimed.

The 31-year-old is survived by two children, Teagan, 4, and Ryan, 3.

Dustin Dennis Left His Two Children Inside His Truck For 5 Hours

According to an arrest report, Dennis told that he drove to QuikTrip with his children around noon. When he returned to his home in the 1700 block of East 61st Street South, he went to sleep for between four and five hours.

After waking up, Dennis claimed to go on to find his children but he couldn’t find his children. police reported to Fox 23.

He allegedly claimed to have found his two young children on the floorboard of the truck – 90-degree temperature.

He called 911 and moved the children into the living room of the family home where paramedics announced the children dead.

Dustin Dennis Was Filmed Locking His Children Inside Truck

A video, which was filmed by a next-door neighbor, was received by police, showing Dennis locking up his truck without taking the children back inside with him.

“The children had not been checked on for nearly five hours during the time they were locked inside the vehicle”, an arrest report seen by the television station states.

Although it has not been revealed how the children died, temperatures in Tulsa were extremely hot on Saturday and were in the low 90’s Fahrenheit.

Dustin Dennis Jailed on a $750,000 Bond

Dennis is currently in the Tulsa County jail on a $750,000 bond.

Writing on his Facebook profile on Thursday, Dennis appeared to tell of his love for his children.

“2 in the morning up watching my kids sleep, I can’t believe they’re mine, I love them so much and nobody in this world could ever make me feel as loved as they do. The other day I was so depressed because I just missed them, and I got to thinking of when they get older and become adults”, he wrote.

‘If you don’t have kids you may not understand this but that is the scariest but most amazing thing to think of, watching them become their own person and seeing what they will experience and achieve. I hope our bond only grows stronger, I hope they always want to call me or see me just to talk or ask for advice. I can’t imagine this world without them,’ he continued.
