Tse Chi Lop is best known as the alleged drug lord behind Asia-Pacific based international crime super syndicateSam Gor also referred to as “The Company”, and former member of the Hong Kong, Toronto and Vancouver-based triad crime group, the Big Circle Gang. A Reuters report in 2019 stated that Tse was a “Canadian national” but did not specify the location of his residence; as of June 2020, he held a Canadian passport.

Tse immigrated to Canada and built the foundations of this syndicate in Toronto, Ontario.

One of the world’s most-wanted fugitives and the alleged leader of one of the globe’s biggest drug gangs has been arrested in the Netherlands.

Tse Chi Lop was reportedly detained on Friday at the request of Australian police, who led an investigation that found his organization dominates the £51 ($70) billion-a-year Asia-Pacific crystal meth drug trade, Dutch police spokesperson Thomas Aling said.

Tse is expected to be extradited after appearing before a judge, Mr. Aling said, adding that his arrest by national police took place without incident at Amsterdam‘s Schiphol Airport.

“He was already on the most-wanted list and he was detained based on intelligence we received,” Mr. Aling said.

Dutch police were unable to provide details about the legal proceedings and it was not clear if Tse had a lawyer.

He is currently in jail and Australian authorities are working with the Attorney General to prepare a formal extradition request.
