Who was Sydney Therriault?

Sydney Therriault was a young and beautiful Maryland woman who reportedly died last week after she got stuck in the window of her Florida hotel room after she locked herself out. She was found deceased by police in a Grassy Key resort window on March 18, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

Ms. Therriault was trying to climb through the window of her room at the Pelican RV Resort & Marina in Marathon when she was asphyxiated after becoming stuck, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office revealed in a statement.

How old was Sydney Therriault?

Sydney Therriault, of Beallsville, Maryland, was 22 years old at the time of death, March 18, 2021.

Sydney was dating her beau boyfriend Dylan Fisher, who was from Poolesville. The couple had been dating for years. Dylan died on 19th December 2017, and his cause of death is still unknown to the public. However, Sydney shared always shared his photos on her Instagram before her death.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place when Ms. Therriault tried to enter through the window because she did not have a hotel key for her room. She was pronounced dead at the scene and police say no foul play is expected.

It is not clear if Therriault was in Florida for Spring Break.

Tributes for Therriault have been pouring in online from friends and co-workers.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Butler Montessori – the private school in Darnestown which Therriault once attended and also worked as a classroom assistant as – said she ‘brought joy to everyone who connected with her.’

‘There are many in our community who have felt the warmth of Sydney’s smile and we will be processing our hurt and missing her for a long time,’ the school said in its statement. Her friend Megan Harney called Therriaault a ‘selfless, free-spirited soul’.

‘Sydney you will be missed by so many here but you will be welcomed by many up there…’  she wrote on Facebook.

 ‘You’re free spirit to travel and help people and to see the world on your own time has helped encouraged me to go out and follow my own path. You will never be forgotten since you touched so many. Rest easy beautiful.
