Mick Norcross, best known as the TOWIE star and former Sugar Hut nightclub owner, was born and raised in Brentwood, England, where the Sugar Hut nightclub is located. He was widely known for his appearances on the British reality series The Only Way is Essex. He has also owned the Sugar Hut club, where he was often featured on The Only Way Is Essex. Before fame, he debuted on The Only Way is Essex in 2011 during the show’s 2nd season.
That same year, he appeared on the TV series Loose Women as himself. In 2014, he appeared in 1 episode of the reunion series The Only Way Is Essex: All Back to Essex. He announced his departure from the show in March 2013.

The same year Mick bought the hotel, he put his £3.4million converted farmhouse up for sale. The estate also boasted a private house where Kirk lived with his girlfriend at the time Lauren Pope, a hot tub and plasma screen TVs.
After putting up the house on sale, Mick said, ‘I’ve been here six years and I’ve completely refurbished this place. Now I’m ready to move on to another project.’

Mick Norcross has been found dead aged 57 hours after sending a final tweet describing ‘the end’. He was found deceased at his mansion in Bulphan, Essex, by emergency services on Thursday afternoon.
He wrote in his final tweet: ‘At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough.’
The late star was seen beaming next to Kirk in his haunting final picture, taken three weeks before he was found dead aged 57.

Former TOWIE co-stars Mark Wright and Mario Falcone hinted that Mick was battling depression, which has increased amongst men during repeated national lockdowns. Essex Police have not confirmed the cause of Mick’s death but said it was not suspicious.

DEAD: Mick Norcross Cause of Death
Mick Norcross suffered a financial blow before he was found dead after facing a £1.5million loss on a luxury housing project because of ‘drainage problems’ while owing £5.2million in bank loans on his hotel renovation project hit by the coronavirus pandemic and going £1million over budget.
Mr. Norcross was seen ‘looking pale’ and ‘didn’t look too well’ at around 8.30 am yesterday – just hours before his death, neighbors told MailOnline.
Essex Police have not confirmed the cause of Mick’s death, or if it was suicide, but said it was not being treated as suspicious.
But fellow TOWIE stars and friends have suggested he was battling depression and suicidal thoughts.
Mick Norcross Net Worth: Plan to restore Leigh-On-Sea’s historic Grand Hotel
Mick Norcross had been working on restoring an iconic Essex seaside hotel before his recent sad death. The 57-year-old had worked as a property developer with his company 460 Leisure Ltd on restoring The Grand Hotel in Leigh-On-Sea, Essex.
In August 2017, plans were submitted to Southend Borough Council to convert the Grand Hotel into flats.
Submitted on behalf of Mick’s company, the application revealed plans for 18 self-contained flats over three floors, while demolishing the existing mansard roof for a new one. A basement wine bar and health club were also included, as well as a new ground-floor restaurant and terrace.
There will also be a rear extension to the building where 19 resident parking spaces will be positioned, as well as cycle and bin storage.
Nine additional car parking spaces, including two disabled spaces, will be placed at the front of the site for commercial uses, the visual impact of which will be mitigated by a replacement boundary wall.
Initial work began on the site in April 2019 and developers had hoped to re-open towards the end of 2021. However, the Covid-19 pandemic had taken hold, hitting the hotel industry hard, Mick’s company was encountering delays.
