Tina Ciaccio, the listing agent, said Melanie Hamrick and Sir Mick didn’t even visit the home before buying.

Speaking to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, she said: ‘It was very cool hearing Mick Jagger’s voice over the phone; that was neat. But regardless, they really were a pleasure, a great couple to transact with.’

The property sits on roughly a third of an acre in the planned community of Lakewood Ranch, according to the publication, and is situated next to a lake with nearly 8,400 square feet (780 square meters) under the roof.

US chat show host Jerry Springer, horror writer Stephen King and AC/DC singer Brian Johnson also own properties in Sarasota. The couple is said to have chosen the home for its privacy and to be close to Miss Hamrick’s family.
