Mary Francis Stuphin is best known as the wife of Larry King, an American television host, radio host, and paid spokesman, whose work was recognized with awards including two Peabodys, an Emmy award, and 10 Cable ACE Awards. King began as a local Florida journalist and radio interviewer.

Larry King was married eight times, to seven women in his lifetime, out of whom Stuphin was the fourth lucky woman.

In 1961, King married his third wife, Alene Akins, a Playboy Bunny, at one of the magazine’s eponymous nightclubs. King adopted Akins’ son Andy in 1962; the couple divorced the following year.  In 1963, King married his fourth wife, Mary Francis “Mickey” Stuphin, who divorced King.

Larry King death and cause of death

Ora Media confirmed the death of Larry King in a statement posted on Mr. King’s own Twitter account.

He had died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Saturday at the age of 87. The statement did not specify a cause of death, but Mr. King had recently been treated for Covid-19. In 2019, he was hospitalized for chest pains and said he had also suffered a stroke.

No cause of death is officially revealed yet.

Larry King, the broadcast interviewer who became the star of a top-rated U.S. cable talk show, has died in Los Angeles, according to a statement on his Twitter account. He had recently undergone treatment for Covid-19.

CNN had earlier reported he was hospitalized with COVID-19.
