Keith Lars was the suspected murderer of 16-year-old Jason Ugwuh who was allegedly tacked down and fatally gunned by Ugwuh’s sister Tityana Coppage just three days after the teen was killed, in the case of seeking revenge for the death of her brother.
Coppage has been charged with second-degree murder, according to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
She remains behind bars in Jackson County jail on a $200,000 bond.

Keith Lars: What happened to Tityana Coppage’s brother?
On January 10, Coppage’s 16-year-old brother Jason Ugwuh was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. According to police, three days later, Coppage shot and killed her brother’s suspected murderer, 36-year-old Keith Lars, in a parking lot, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
Ugwuh was a standout basketball player at Hogan Preparatory Academy, where he was a junior.
Days before Lars’ death, Coppage mourned her brother in an emotional Facebook post.
“I tried to shield y’all from everything I had to witness as a kid. I supported anything and everything you wanted to do in life. I tried to give you the best so you wouldn’t have to look for fake love in the streets,” she wrote in the Jan. 11 post.

Court records state that Lars was found in the back of a Toyota near Virginia Avenue and Admiral Boulevard in Kansas City on January 13, with officers determining that the shooting had occurred close to the 500 block of Benton Boulevard.
At that scene, police found 23 shell casing from two types of bullets.
Police used surveillance footage and eyewitness account to find the Ford Escape that Coppage had been driving, KCTV reports. Coppage told authorities that she knew Lars would be near Independence Avenue and Benton, with her meeting him there before following the victim.
