As of Saturday, Banes is still in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury after being admitted at Mount Sinai Morningside hospital.

“Lisa is in critical condition and we’ll know more in the next few days,” Kranhold told The Post.

When Banes was late meeting her, Kranhold began to frantically call her wife, to no answer.

Someone finally answered the call at the hospital, filling her in on the accident. Banes was in town to perform in a virtual adaptation of Eleanor Burgess’ The Niceties, presented by Manhattan Theatre Club, where she was part of the play’s traditionally staged production from 2018 to 2019.

The force of the crash sent her flying out of the crosswalk, witnesses said.

“He just wiped her out,” said a man who saw the crash and wouldn’t give his name.

EMS took Banes to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Kranhold said the actress was going to meet friends for dinner when she was struck. Banes was going to stop by her alma mater, Juilliard, and Lincoln Center along the way, her spouse said.
