Isata Jalloh is a lockdown dodger who breached quarantine who rules to hang out with a rapper and will spend Christmas in jail as she is hit with new charges after allegedly lying on her exemption form. Jalloh and Banchi Techana flew into Western Australia in August and were placed in mandatory quarantine at Novotel Hotel before breaking the rules.

Jalloh and Techana were caught by police at a unit in Coolbellup, in the south of Perth, and were escorted back to hotel quarantine before being put on a return flight to South Australia, paid for by the taxpayers. They were caught before they were left to hang out with a rapper.

Isata Jalloh said she would return to WA ‘by force’ after being fined and sent back to South Australia for failing to comply with a health direction. Jalloh returned to Perth on December 6 after being granted an exemption to attend a funeral.

However, Jallow allegedly lied on her G2G Pass application after police called to check on her.

The officers were alerted to her alleged breach after hearing background noise from the shopping center during the phone conversation. Police allege Jalloh visited a hairdresser while at the shops and she also went to a petrol station with another man to buy food.

What the footage shows

Hotel CCTV footage allegedly showed the young woman leave her room with a man and woman a mere few hours after her arrival. She was also allegedly seen taking an Uber.

In later footage, a man and a woman are allegedly seen visiting Jalloh’s room with alcohol in hand.

What we know so far about Isata Jalloh

Isata Jalloh appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday and was slapped with 23 counts of failing to comply with a direction and one count of giving false or misleading information, Courier-Mail reported.

Her bail application was rejected on December 11 and she will spend Christmas at Bandyup Women’s Prison. She will reappear in court on January 19.
