Fotis’ first marriage to Hilary Aldama ended quickly, amicably. He had aso wed a woman named Hilary Vanessa Aldama.
The Dulos couple seemed to be happy and living in domestic bliss with their five children. Fotis lost physical custody of his children after he went against court orders that Michelle Troconis shouldn’t be a part of the Dulos children’s lives.
On January 28, 2020, the gruesome case took another turn when Fotis was hospitalized after he attempted to take his life by poisoning himself with carbon monoxide. The complications that arose from the suicide attempt led to Fotis losing his life. In his suicide note, Fotis still maintained his innocence and according to ABC News he wrote, “I refuse to spend even an hour more in jail for something I had NOTHING to do with.”
“I want it to be known that Michelle Troconis had nothing to do with Jennifer’s disappearance. And neither did Kent Mawhinney.”
