Blake Austin Reed is a man who was arrested by the FBI in Nashville on Sunday on charges related to the U.S. Capitol riots. They arrested Reed, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee said in a Sunday post on Twitter.
Reed is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority as well as violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, the criminal complaint states.

On January 6, a mob of pro-Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Five people died and a sweeping federal investigation is underway. A few other people with ties to Tennessee have been arrested on charges related to the riots.
FBI agents received a tip that included a photo of two men that appeared to have been taken inside the Capitol, according to the statement of facts in the case. They identified one of the men as Reed and the other as Matthew Bledsoe, a Memphis man who was arrested Friday in connection with the riot.
The tip also included a screenshot of Blake Austin Reed’s Facebook account. On Sunday, the U.S. Attorney’s office shared a screenshot of a Facebook post on Reed’s account that includes photos of crowds of people, pro-Trump hashtags and a message.
“We the people took the capitol!” Reed said in the post.

What we know so far about Blake Austin Reed
Agents used the photos and Facebook posts to identify Reed based on the ski goggles and respirator he was wearing.
“This unusual outfit choice matches the attire of the man smiling alongside Mr. Bledsoe inside the Capitol,” the statement of facts said.
